Alex Waislitz OAM

Alex Waislitz is the founder and executive chairman of Thorney Investment Group, a Melbourne-based diversified investor in public securities, private companies and property. Thorney specialises in emerging companies across an array of industries, including manufacturing, technology, mining services and resources. In addition to his role as the group’s executive chairman, Alex is chair of Thorney Opportunities Limited and Thorney Technologies Limited, both of which are ASX-listed investment companies. He’s also the former vice-president of Collingwood Football Club. In 2014, Alex established the Waislitz Foundation with the aim of donating $50 million to charity. He’s a graduate of Monash in law and commerce, and of the Harvard Business School OPM Program.
